At your initial visit, Lisa Marie Price, L.Ac., Dipl.Ac. will discuss your condition and health history with you. She will also conduct a traditional Oriental Medical examination, including an examination of the pulses and the tongue, as well as modern diagnostic techniques like Acugraph electro-meridian imaging. She will review her findings in detail with you and provide you with recommendations for a treatment plan including various unique Chinese treatment techniques.
Your Treatment Plan
After your initial consultation, examination and diagnosis a treatment plan will be formulated for you. Depending on what is found, your treatment plan usually takes 5-20 treatments. Depending on the severity of your condition, your practitioner may recommend the treatment plan be extended or shortened. Some of the techniques that may be recommended as part of your treatment plan are acupuncture, electro-acupuncture, gua sha, cupping, moxabustion, Chinese dietary therapy, Chinese herbal medicine or specific supplements. Lisa Marie is an expert in nutrition and dietary therapy.
Each treatment you receive after your initial consultation will be based on your personal treatment plan and your unique response to treatment. We will be tracking your progress carefully and adjust our diagnosis and treatment plan accordingly.
Approximately every four weeks, we will conduct a re-evaluation to document the progress of treatment and adjust the treatment plan as needed.
At the end of the course of treatment we will also conduct a re-evaluation to review your case–at this point you will “graduate” from acute care. We will make recommendations for self-care for your condition and preventive health measures. Some patients will discontinue treatment at this time, others will embark on a plan of maintenance care for preventive health, stress relief, and management of chronic health issues.
